  • High School Diploma and five years experience in the IT field
  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) Certification
  • Computer and networking skills in a business environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical and communications skills

  • Microsoft Exchange, IIS, ISA, and SQL experience preferred
  • Voice (TDM and IP) in the Enterprise/Service Provider environment experience preferred

Description:

 

The Network Administrator is responsible for providing Internet technical support to Level I and II

technical support teams.  The position is also involved in maintaining the Internet Network Operations

and supporting premium customers.  Specific duties include:

 

1.  CO/CoLo–based provisioning of all CLEC & Internet products & services.

2.  Respond to all incoming calls, voice mails, emails, open tickets, and assists walk-in customers in

a timely manner.

3.  Support private LAN workstation/laptop network connectivity, operating system, and business applications operability.

4.  Provide ongoing training and technical guidance to Network Operations Center Technicians.

5.  Support Network Operations Center Technicians with open tickets.

6.  Provide telephone and on-site support to dedicated and/or premium customers.

7. Assist Network Engineer implementing & operating network elements

8.  Monitor and maintain Voice, Data, & Server networks.

9.  All other duties as assigned.

Title:                 Outside Plant Technician

 Minimum Qualifications:

·        High School Diploma

·        Good analytical and communication skills

·        Valid driver’s license

·        Ability to work 18feet or higher above ground

·        Ability to distinguish various colored wires

·        Must be able to periodically work out of town, after hours or respond to off-hours call outs

 

Preferred candidates will have the following:

·        Pole Climbing related certification

·        CDL License

·        Buck & line truck related certifications

·        Knowledge of PC’s & Data Networking

 

Description:

The Outside Plant Technician is responsible for installing and repairing fiber optic services.  Work will include, but not be limited to installing/configuring fiber electronics at the customer premise, fiber splicing and troubleshooting, maintaining detailed documentation for each job.
